My comment for what it's worth is; I am actually playing the album by .Stepaside' 'Sit down and relapse'at this very moment, Friday 11th May 2012, on a 'Pye' record player which is by the way just over 50 years old, the record player that is
not the album,:):), anyway, I used to go to see these guys in Stillorgan in 1981 or2, on a Sunday night and they were brilliant, they always played my request 'every Sunday night', Paul was a really nice guy, may he 'Rest In Peace', from a true fan, Paschal.

I am a great admirer of Edna O'Briens work. I come from a similiar background ie farming family in Tipperarary 1950's, catholic education, moved abroad (France) I now live in Dublin.
I think the Irish need Enda's insight on the national obsession with money, and the depression from which we suffer because of a widespread disillusionment with our leaders Political/Business/Church.
Thank you Edna for being you.
Best regards and my sincere wishes for your continued great work.
Norine.

My most vivid memory of Joe Lynch is his lovely rendition of Cottage by the Lee which I often heard on Radio Eireann in the 50s, his was truly a beautiful voice.
